The impact of the fourth industrial revolution is fundamentally changing the nature of work and the meaning of career, and making it imperative to constantly refresh one’s skills. Organizations can help drive what needs to be done, when it comes to learning, the organizations' role is to create the environment and systems to allow student trainees to learn. Organization should seamlessly integrate internal and external lerning for the trainees
The objective of the intervention is to provide the most up-to-date and hands-on learning experience for the students who have to carry out real-world tasks with all the responsibilities and pitfalls that true work environment involves.
Student trainees are faced with projects that they have to supervise themselves with minimal guidence from emloyers. It makes them able to become confident in their abilities and ready to take up challenges in their new jobs later on.
What resources are required for the case?Consider human resources, financial resources, infrastructure, in-kind resources and any other type required.
Good contacts with the world of work that offers such placements fot final year students. Financial resources are required to motivate the in-company tutors.

Institutional support is crucial.
Human resources and financial resources are also required. It is necessary that the institution takes a holistic approach and systemically encourages the final year students to test their skills and competences. A system of evaluating such practices which may be entirelly different at different institutions is alo vital to keep up the highest standards.
Why do you consider this case to be good/best practice?Please consider that a best practice must (a) have a clearly defined objective to increase the connection with the World of Work, (b) address the target groups of the project, (c) be replicable and sustainable, (d) have clearly demonstrated evidence of effectiveness in increasing the connection with the World of Work
Students prepare to the WoW in real work environment. The students get a true experience of what their studies are preparing them for. It gives them a clear picture of their future work.
. Moreover, they become aware what are their strengths and weaknesses which will make their further career planning much easier.
Very important is also the social inclusion and educational element building on personal values and as such prioritizing the importance of contributing tocommunity benefits and returning to own community once you learn that it is not only money needed but skills professional and soft/transversal ones that might even make a greater impact than financial means.
