Classrooms for nursing and physiotherapy students is equipped with interactive phantoms allowing the student nurses to monitor their performance while practising the necessary skills before carrying out hospital placement practice.

What resources are required for the case?

Financial resources are required to ensure that students work in the modern T&L environment. Staff has to be also adequately prepared to conduct classes with interactive phantoms.

What are the enabling factors making this case successful?

Consider institutional support, environmental/social/political factors, etc.

Institutional support is crucial; classrooms for health sciences studies have to be well equipped in order to give students opportunities of good preparation for practical placements in hospitals. School authorities have to realize that investments are necessary for efficient conducting nursing and physiotherapy studies.

Why do you consider this case to be good/best practice?

Please consider that a best practice must (a) have a clearly defined objective to increase the connection with the World of Work, (b) address the target groups of the project, (c) be replicable and sustainable, (d) have clearly demonstrated evidence of effectiveness in increasing the connection with the World of Work

This case is good practice, because on the one hand it allows students to practice necessary skills before starting hospital placement practices, and on the other hand it shows to external stakeholders increased capacities of pactice-oriented school's teaching and learning provisions.
