Student Corporation Ericius (in Latin language Hedgehog) unites students, lecturers and graduates. The Corporation organizes professional lectures, construction site visits and different common events with the aim to bring together students and graduates for exchanging knowledge and experience.
Ericius, was created on March 26, 2006. For those who do not yet know - the "Hedgehog" became name to the corporation because the hedgehog is active, like an engineer. In the center of the Ericius`flag, the circle motif of dynamic image is hedgehog-inspired. This refers to mobility and strength. The purple flag is traditionally in heraldic the colour of realities and technology.
Today the corporation has nearly 150 members. Ericius have registered as a non-profit organization and is managed by a 5-member executive and a two-member management board. Despite short history, the members of corporation have already developed a number of traditions, of which the most notable is undoubtedly the February 24th flagging ceremony in Toompea (Estonian Independent Day), in which they participate equally alongside other societies and corporations. Ericius's values are also academicism, brotherhood, engineering, organization.
Their motto is: Doing the Right Things is More Important than Doing Things Right!

Why do you consider this case to be good/best practice?Please consider that a best practice must (a) have a clearly defined objective to increase the connection with the World of Work, (b) address the target groups of the project, (c) be replicable and sustainable, (d) have clearly demonstrated evidence of effectiveness in increasing the connection with the World of Work
We considered this case to be best practice because it is good example of students`activity, shows togetherness among the students, alumni and teachers and shares values which are also important for university.
