The University supports advanced applied research. Example: 3-D modelling of soft human tissues (heart etc.), direct innovative application in medicine
Technology Transfer Center is an university-wide unit conducting research, promotional and organizational activities in the field of technology transfer, entrepreneurship and quality. Special attention should be paid to the fact that the university has managed to become one of the national leaders in supporting practical education as well as its overall innovativeness. The existing Technology Transfer Center using the university's potential certainly contributes to the economic and social development of both Elbląg and the entire region.
The main objective of engaging in advanced applied research is the possibility for students and staff to develop direct contacts with the companies involved in the research activities and learning in and for practice from the best in the field.
What resources are required for the case?Consider human resources, financial resources, infrastructure, in-kind resources and any other type required.
Human resourcees and financial resources are requred. The staff need to be motivated enough to upscale their knowledge and competences and students must be challanged enough to follow advanced research projects. Also equipment, premises and materials are needed.

Institutional support is needed. Appropriate institutional culture promoting development of advanced projects is a must.
