Conferences for external stakeholders are one of the most important elements of support for institutional policy of cooperation with socio-economic environment. The conferences, with strong participation of representatives of the world of work, give opportunities of presentation of University capacities in R&D, with special stress on possibilities of joint research. They enable also to to make new contacts and develop new common activities.
What resources are required for the case?Consider human resources, financial resources, infrastructure, in-kind resources and any other type required.
Institutional resources (human and material) are usually sufficient. Possibilities of extra funding are also envisaged (some conferences may be linked to on-going projects or other externally funded initiatives).
What are the enabling factors making this case successful?Consider institutional support, environmental/social/political factors, etc.
The main enabling factor is the systemic cooperation of our institution with external environment and a network of existing collaboration links.
Why do you consider this case to be good/best practice?Please consider that a best practice must (a) have a clearly defined objective to increase the connection with the World of Work, (b) address the target groups of the project, (c) be replicable and sustainable, (d) have clearly demonstrated evidence of effectiveness in increasing the connection with the World of Work
It is a good example of a "win-win" cooperation for all partners: the school can promote its offer and inform external stakeholders on its R&D capacities, and external partners from the region can express their needs and areas of interest. It makes the connections with the WoW stronger.
