Entrepreneurship Centre

The Entrepreneurship Centre was established to provide structural units with the support needed for their RDC activities. The centre serves as a link between enterprises and institutes: reciprocally mediates technology transfer opportunities, develops business contacts and builds national and international relationships with other similar RDC centres and institutions to exchange technology transfer related information.
Main activities of Entrepreneurship Centre are:
• coordinating applied research for companies
• consultations
• in-service trainings
• expert assessment
• product development
• spin-off consultations
Also, important duty is to coordinate students’ RDC activities, TTK UAS students’ voluntary research association Heureka has been established in 2003. Heureka organises visits to partner higher education institutions and annual in-school research competitions which are regulated by the TTK UAS Statute of Student Research. The purpose of this competition is to engage students in research; the best participants will be awarded.

What resources are required for the case?

Consider human resources, financial resources, infrastructure, in-kind resources and any other type required.

The resources that are needed in this case are mostly:
1.Active and innovative teaching staff and students
2.Good contacts to WoW and networking ability
3.Some financial support of TTK UAS, to organize awarding for best students in Heureka`s research competitions.
4.Enough time for teachers to deal with applied research and supervise the students.

What are the enabling factors making this case successful?

Consider institutional support, environmental/social/political factors, etc.

Why do you consider this case to be good/best practice?

Please consider that a best practice must (a) have a clearly defined objective to increase the connection with the World of Work, (b) address the target groups of the project, (c) be replicable and sustainable, (d) have clearly demonstrated evidence of effectiveness in increasing the connection with the World of Work

We considered this case to be best practice because it is good example of supporting of collaboration of active and hard working teachers and WoW and very practical form of develop of students research work.
