Risks associated with injuries during practical training are typical for postgraduate internships in hospitals. Aesculap Akademie (AA) is an educational institution that educates professional medical staff. A project has been designed to raise risk prevention awareness related to injuries associated with students' internships in medical facilities (undergraduates). Aesculap Akademie has conducted a survey in order to find weaknesses at the Medical College. The survey comprised of 60 students, who were preparing themselves for a professional internship. The survey has identified areas for improvement (insufficient safety related to needles and lack of information on the risks associated with needlestick injuries). As a result, Aesculap Akademie has provided safety cannulae for teaching purposes, and it has started to organize specialized seminars for the 1st and 2nd year students of Medical College once per year .
