Please describe the case in detail

In particular please consider (a)Objectives of the intervention; (b) Tools used to achieve the project goals; (c) Methodologies applied;

According to national legislation, study concept, learning outcomes, programmes etc. for professional higher education have to be consulted with the representatives of the World of Work. In our institution there exist Consultative Councils - advisory bodies consisting of representatives of WoW related with given study fields. They provide advice and feedback on study programs, learning outcomes, labour market needs, topics for diploma works etc.

What resources are required for the case?

Consider human resources, financial resources, infrastructure, in-kind resources and any other type required.

The case does not need any extra material resources. Human resources are needed - to look for appropriate candidaates to the Consultative Councils, to organize meetings, consultations etc. Such activities of uur staff are part of their regular duties

What are the enabling factors making this case successful?

Consider institutional support, environmental/social/political factors, etc.

The prerequisite for the success is the interest of external stakeholders in participating in Consultative Councils - both formally (as members) and creatively, providing feedback on our educational offer.

Why do you consider this case to be good/best practice?

Please consider that a best practice must (a) have a clearly defined objective to increase the connection with the World of Work, (b) address the target groups of the project, (c) be replicable and sustainable, (d) have clearly demonstrated evidence of effectiveness in increasing the connection with the World of Work

It is a good example of a bottom-up cooperation of PHE with the WoW; Consultative Councils, related with concrete subject areas, ale very good platforms of interaction not only for modernization of curricula leading to enhancement of employability, but also on topics for diploma works and possibilities of joint R&D activities. The ideas appearing at the "microscale" can also be channeled into more wide institutional strategy and give rise to new openings of institution as a whole to new cooperation areas.
